Our Etsy site is finally live

There's precious little on it yet, but after shooting more images tomorrow, there will be plenty!

I am curious to hear how folks maintain their Etsy sites.

Here is our Etsy link: ColdSpringsStudio.etsy.com

Looking good!

Etsy is on my to-do list also for 2009 at some point.

Thanks Brian.

I have been reluctant to go the Etsy route. Oftentimes, I have found much of the work on Etsy to be of low quality and low skill.

As a fine craftsman, I would like to think that there is a better venue, but from my conversations with my local clientele, Etsy is where the younger crowd are going.

From what I understand about Etsy, the best thing you can do for exposure is to network, which sometimes means paying money to be included in the "gift ideas" sections, but which also just means investing time in building treasuries. You can add a picture of one your pots to a treasury and build a beautiful collection of other people's art starting from there.... then you hope it makes it to the front page. I have definitely bought things from front page treasuries, or at least from shops featured there. The whole treasury thing does take time, though.
